Terms & Conditions
BankPlace Baker is operated by Maria Parkinson trading as “BankPlace Baker” or “I” or “We” or “Us”. When placing an order with us, you agree to the terms and conditions that follow.
We reserve the right, at our complete discretion, to change these terms and conditions at any time by posting revised terms on the site. It is your responsibility to check periodically for any changes we may make to these terms and conditions. Your continued use of this site following the posting of changes to terms and conditions means you accept the changes.
Quotes:
Quotes given are valid only for two weeks from when the quote was provided. We reserved the right to amend the quote as and when required.
Payment terms:
By placing an order, you confirm that the details contained in the order are correct in all respects. A contact between you BankPlace Baker is only formed when we receive your payment and send you a confirmation email that your order and payment has been received and accepted.
Dates are only reserved for customers who place a non-refundable deposit ( 50% of total cost or payment in full if order is under £45 )
Full payment must be made one week before collection or delivery date or 4 weeks before for wedding cakes and favours. No work will commence until full payment is received based on the agreed quote and confirmed design details.
Changes to your order:
Any amendments to the agreed design must be made in writing and made no less than 4 weeks prior to the collection/delivery date. In the case of alterations a new order confirmation will be issued detailing the changes and the new cost. Final product is subject to the availability of ingredients, other product materials and/or equipment. BankPlace Baker reserves the right to substitute these items prior consultation with the client.
Cancellation:
Please note all booking fees made by clients are strictly non refundable.
We reserve the right to cancel orders at any time.
Payment already made by the client will be refunded in full should we cancel the transaction/order.
Allergies:
Any allergies must be specified at the time of booking. Whilst every effort is made to avoid cross contamination we can not guarantee this. We can not guarantee that our products are free from or didn’t come into contact with cereals containing GLUTEN/ such as BARLEY, WHEAT and OATS, EGGS , LUPIN, MILK, PEANUTS, SESAME, SOYA, SULPHUR DIOXIDE, SULPHITES and TREE NUTS. You agree to notify your guests of this risk and hold us harmless for allergic reaction.
Damage in Transit :
The BankPlace Bake cannot be held responsible for any damage to the Goods that may be caused during transportation, once the Goods for the Assignment have been handed over to the Client for transportation.
Cake stand hire:
Where a client wishes to hire a cake stand a £80 deposit is required up front. This is refundable only on the condition that the same cake stand is returned to BankPlace Baker without any damage within 5 days following the pickup/delivery of the cake and stand.
Inedible decorations & flowers:
Non-edible items may be used as decorations or packaging for the products. It is the client’s responsibility to ensure that any non-edible items are removed prior to consumption.
Fresh flowers are sealed with flower tape and food safe wax. Please note some flowers are not suitable for use as a cake decoration which is unable us to to offer you a big choice. Please ensure your guests know this in advance for any allergies and ensure all flowers are removed prior to eating. BankPlace Baker will not take any liability for loss, damage of injury arising from such exposure. Fresh flowers are not included in the price of any wedding cake design.
If a wedding cake is to be dressed with fresh flowers these are to be provided by your florist. Ask your florist for details regarding toxicity. BankPlace Baker cannot be liable for any contamination to our cakes that may arise from their misuse.

We reserve the right to take and use any photographs of your cakes and sweet favours on our website, social media.
